Was searching the internet and came across some sites for people who have taken the raw food idea a step further-they only eat fruit. I think they are called fruitarians-I was kind of wondering how you would get enough protein to survive on this type of diet-but interestingly enough one of the fruitarian- "the frutarian one" has his own fitness website. The fruitarian one does hundreds of push ups and chins each day. The guy is pretty ripped and doesn't look like he survives on only fruit. Definately looks like he can do lots of push ups. I guess it just goes to show how adaptable the human body is or can be.

100 or two each day

Not a bad week of push ups. With the exception of last night I was able to do a hundred or two each day. Probably the most consistant I have been for a while.
Both Alberta Ronald McDonald houses have started collecting pull tabs from the tops of soda cans as a fundraiser. You get something like 50-70 a pound for the tabs at the recyclers-so it takes a ton of them to raise money. However some of the houses in the states make 60-70k a year on thier pull tab recycling programs. We took our first load to the recycler a week or two ago thought it must be 200 lbs worth but it turned out to be 545lbs worth. It is actually kind of cool as a number of schools are starteing to collect them for the houses. People mail in envelopes with 6 or 7 in it and other people drop off big zip lock bags of the things

Thanks Jack and Phil for the comments below.
Things have been pretty hectic-so have had some good push up days and not so good days. We started a facebook group for the Edmonton House,so we would have one more tool to post pictures and show people what we are raising money for (the expansion of the house). We are revamping our website-and will soon have a link to our facebook group. So you will be able to check it out on the link to the right soon. In Calgary we hired a new Education Coordinator-to liase with our education partners in town and through out the province. Additionally the coordinator will do some teaching and tutoring for kids staying in the house.
