I am having a little trouble keeping below my target weight goal line. I have been fairly close to the daily target weight-so I am not going to loss any sleep over it. I am still within striking distance of meeting my target for May 15th. Our usual Fast Food Friday with the family doesn't help alot- typically I spend the rest of the week trying to bring my weight down.

Two 1000 push up days

We celebrated my two youngest daughter's birthdays yesterday. Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon and carrot cake for desert didn't help the weight too much-however about one pound of damage on the waistline is not that bad. On the other side of the coin tow more days of 1000 push ups and chin ups likely staved off a few pounds of weight I might have gained otherwise.

A year off target

I discovered that I had entered my new weight goal into Fitday incorrectly. I had entered the end date as May/15/2010 instead of May15/09. For a day or two I thought I was doing great on my target. So this graph above has been corrected. I am on target to loss twenty pounds by the 15th of May-just barely. I was starting to relax as I thought I was well below the target line, however -still on target -even if it is pretty close to the line. My son-in -law has already lost over twelve pounds -so I have a ways to go to catch up.

I edited my weight loss goal on fitday to target reaching 197 by May 15th. May 15 th is our weigh in day for our family biggest loser contest. The lowest line is my actual weight. On our intial weigh in day ( before I edited the initial goal) I was 207, a day or so after I managed to drop a few pounds. I was able to complete another 1000 push ups today. A little monotonous-I did 100 sets of 10 with 30 seconds of rest between each set. The thousand took me a little over an hour.

Well I have been dogging it on our Biggest Loser family competition. My son -in law is already down 12 pounds and well - I keep gaining and losing the same 4 or 5 pounds over and over again. The last two days I figured I better get my act in gear if I have a hope of catching everyone else in the family. The last two days I have done a thousand push ups/chins a day. It takes me about 60 -70 minutes to get that many done. Lots and lots of sets with about 30 seconds between each set. I am out of town on business the next two days-hopefully I will be able to keep this rate up for a few more days.

It took a little longer to get back on the wagon than I thought it might. The last two days I have had respectable workouts( as opposed to the last two weeks). I will definately need to ramp it up a bit. Our family is doing sort of our own biggest loser. We have each put $150 into a pot. The contest runs until May 15th. The object is for each of us to lose the biggest amount of bodyweight possible by this time. We will compare by total percentage of bodyweight lost not total pounds. Given that most of us are not doing so well on our diets or exercise- our main strategy so far has been sabatoging each other. My daughter and wife have been baking muffins or brownies and leaving them cooling on the counters. Although I have noticed that my other daughter and son in law have been adding some runs and bike rides above and beyond the nightly workouts we have been doing. I am clearly going to need to bring my "A" game to this competition.
