I have been playing around with crossfit workouts a bit. Playing around is probably the wrong term. They are brief but beat the crap out of you. Some days I have been foolinsh enough to do two of the workouts in the same day-they just seem so brief you feel like you can get another one in. Half way throught the second one you kind of think "well this was a mistake". I have been trying to use the weights indicated on the crossfit site-but I also have to admit sometimes this is challenging. These workouts have a way of showing you how not in shape you are. I started this blog in Feb of 07. Around the time I started I weighed 210.5 lbs. Today I weigh about 205 so you could say I have only lost about 5 pounds in the last two and a half years-lots of push ups-apparently not a good weigh loss strategy. However lately for the most part my weigh has been hovering closer to 200 pounds most days- which I suppoae is more like a 10 pound loss. In general my goals were not really to lose a ton of weight-just trim off some of the fat. The push ups and chin ups numbers continue to gradually go up and that has been my primary goal.

Okay when regular push ups just get to easy try these- planche push ups on the bars:
Not saying regular push ups are too easy for me yet. Not sure I could manage these. Push up /chin up numbers are working out all right this week. Shouldn't have any trouble getting more than 200 k done well before the end of the year-who knows maybe 225k?
