daily fluctuations

As you can see by the extreme swings up and down my weight is definately going up and down quite a bit. Clearly those who would advise not weighing yourself everyday had this kind of swinging in mind. However the trend line is definately going downward, so I am over the daily fluctuations.

Nordic Track arrived

I have had some good "push up" days. To reach the goal of a quarter million push ups/chins by New Years ,I now have to do about 501 push ups and/or chins a day. If this week is any indication I should be able to make it. The new Nordic Track Incline trainer arrived yesterday. Well after setting it up after work last night I couldn't be bothered trying it out. Not a good sign. However today I did try two of the "easy" workouts, the 150 calorie workout and the 250 calorie workout. A little challenging , but "easy" doesn't describe the workout, but I wouldn't say "hard "does either. Anyway the machine is great. Sound quality with the mp3 hook up is great. The fan is a welcome addition when the thing goes into 40 degree incline mode. Lets see what happens to the percentage of bodyfat now.

Nordic Track Incline

I bought a Nordic Track Incline Trainer. It arrives on Friday. I have got to say I am a bit like a kid at Christmas. We have this health and wellness plan at work where we can spend money on memberships at a fitness club, golf club or whatever-or we can spend the money on fitness equiptment. My yearly allotment doesn't cover the whole expense- so the difference is a little bit like a Christmas present to myself. Maybe a little up hill cardio will take the percentage of bodyfat down a few notches. I will keep ya posted.

Quarter of a Milllion still in sight

I still would like to get to the quarter million mark (push ups/chins) by New Years. I will have to ramp it up a bit to make it. With the number of days left in the year that means I need to average about 507 chins/push ups per day. This is a little more than I am averaging now by a good distance, but given some of the daily totals I have posted, it will be challenging but do-able

Lalanne's record unbroken

Below is a link to an article about Jack Lalanne's nephew. On the occassion of his uncles 95th birthday he tried to break his uncles record of 1000 chin ups and 1000 push ups in one hour 22 minutes.
He didn't quite make it-record stands.
It was thanksgiving in Canada this past weekend. Despite the usual feast and festivity, I managed to keep a handle on the weight gain. Sunday the day we had our family thanksgiving meal- I didn't eat all day, saved it up for turkey and pumpkin pie.

The graph to the right represents my weight over the last thirty days. The nice thing about physicsdiet.com is the trend line on these graphs. As before "pink" is bad-"green" is good. However this graph has a little more green and the trendline is going in the right direction.
